WWE to announce Tampa as host city for WrestleMania 36

As expected, Tampa, Florida is set to be officially confirmed as the host city for WrestleMania 36.

WWE has announced that they’ll be making a “very important announcement” in Tampa Bay at 11 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow (Thursday, March 7). The Tampa Bay Times confirmed that the press event is to formally announce Raymond James Stadium (the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) as the host of WrestleMania 36.

WrestleMania 36 will take place on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

This will be the second time in four years that WrestleMania has been held in Florida. Camping World Stadium in Orlando hosted WrestleMania 33 in 2017.

The XFL’s Tampa Bay team will also play their home games at Raymond James Stadium. Former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman was introduced as the head coach and general manager of the Tampa Bay XFL team yesterday.

Tomorrow’s announcement will stream live on WWE’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter pages.
