WWE announces Bryan-Kingston contract signing for SmackDown

A contract signing will be part of the final build to Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship match at WrestleMania.

WWE has announced that Bryan and Kingston will take part in a contract signing on Tuesday’s go-home episode of SmackDown. The segment was set up by a tweet from Kingston, who wrote that he wanted Vince McMahon to put something in writing to make the title match official.

Kingston tweeted: “One week from today, I will be on the cusp of achieving my childhood dream, wrestling for the WWE title…(crazy to say that) Since a certain someone has made it impossible to trust him at his word, I’m gonna need to see something in writing. No more games.”

Kingston’s road to WrestleMania storyline led to him being confirmed as Bryan’s WWE title challenger after Big E & Xavier Woods won a tag team gauntlet match on last week’s SmackDown.

Tuesday’s SmackDown is taking place at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
