WWE announces NXT involvement for Survivor Series

This year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view will have a bit of a different theme.

During a commercial for upcoming WWE Network programming that aired during Crown Jewel today, it was announced that Raw, SmackDown, and NXT will all be involved in this year’s Survivor Series. The advertisement said “For the first time ever in head-to-head competition — Raw, SmackDown, NXT.”

Further details about what NXT’s involvement will mean haven’t been revealed. Survivor Series is taking place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on Sunday, November 24.

The Allstate Arena is also hosting SmackDown, NXT TakeOver: WarGames, and Raw in the days surrounding Survivor Series. TakeOver is set for Saturday, November 23 and will feature the first-ever women’s WarGames match, with Rhea Ripley and NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler captaining the teams. A men’s WarGames match was also teased at the end of last night’s NXT.

The 2017 and 2018 Survivor Series PPVs included Raw and SmackDown’s champions facing off in non-title matches.
