WWE announces partnership with top international soccer club

WWE has entered into a new partnership with one of the top soccer clubs in the world.

Ahead of Clash in Paris taking place this weekend, it was announced that WWE and Paris Saint-Germain FC have entered into a longterm strategic collaboration. PSG has dominated French soccer for the last decade-plus and won their first UEFA Champions League in the 2024-2025 season.

WWE and PSG will be working together in several areas, including content creation and merchandise.

“This first-of-its-kind strategic collaboration will explore a wide range of opportunities across a variety of areas, including the creation of original content, exclusive merchandise and distribution collections, fan engagement initiatives, community-driven programs, and unique experiences connecting PSG players and WWE Superstars,” a press release said.

“Both brands aim to expand their reach and attract new audiences, as this alliance begins at WWE’s first-ever Premium Live Event in the French capital: Clash in Paris, at La Defense Arena, on Sunday, August 31.”

PSG is owned by Qatar Sports Investments, a group that is part of the Qatari government. Ousmane Dembele is currently the top star on the team, with Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe among the players who have featured for PSG in recent years.

WWE and PSG also partnered together earlier in 2025 for the release of a PSG Legacy Championship belt.

France will host three WWE events over the next week starting with Friday’s SmackDown in Lyon. Sunday’s PLE and the subsequent episode of Raw will then be held in Paris.
