WWE announces rules for Survivor Series WarGames matches

WarGames will make its main roster debut at Survivor Series on November 26.

WWE has officially unveiled the rules for Survivor Series WarGames.

WarGames will make its main roster debut as Survivor Series takes place at TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, November 26. The pay-per-view will feature a men's WarGames match and a women's WarGames match.

The rules for the WarGames matches will follow the same format that WWE used in NXT. The match can only be won by pinfall or submission after all competitors have entered:

Two teams will be contained in separate cages with one member of each team starting the match.

After five minutes, a member from the advantaged team will be released to enter the match.

After a three-minute period, alternating members from each team will enter the match until all competitors are inside the cage.

Once all competitors have entered, WarGames officially begins.

The only way to win the match is by pinfall or submission.

The men's WarGames match is expected to be The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn) vs. Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch, Drew McIntyre, and a partner.

The women's WarGames match will be Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and a partner vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley.

There will be a match on next Monday's Raw to determine which team gets the advantage in the women's WarGames match.

WarGames being introduced to the WWE main roster comes after Paul "Triple H" Levesque took over creative this July. The iconic NWA/WCW match type had previously been used by Levesque in NXT.
