Following her actions at the end of Monday's Raw, Charlotte Flair has been both suspended and fined in storyline.
WWE authority figure Adam Pearce announced on Raw Talk that Charlotte has been "indefinitely suspended" and fined $100,000 for attacking a referee at the end of Monday's Raw episode. The show-closing angle saw Charlotte beat down referee Eddie Orengo after losing to Asuka.
Charlotte had Asuka in the Figure Eight near the end of their match\, but Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley interfered by pulling on Charlotte's arms and breaking up the move. Orengo didn't see Ripley's interference. When Charlotte went to attack Ripley and tried to pull her into the ring, Asuka kicked Charlotte and used a crucifix pin to get the win.
Charlotte beat down Orengo after the match, including pummeling him with strikes to the back of the head. Officials tried to stop Charlotte, but she went back and attacked Orengo two more times.
On last week's Raw, Charlotte returned to WWE television for the first time since testing positive for COVID-19 last month. Charlotte cut a promo voicing her displeasure with being left off WrestleMania 37. She then interrupted a WrestleMania rematch between Ripley and Asuka by attacking both of them.
Ripley defeated Asuka at WrestleMania 37 night two to win the Raw Women's Championship.
