WWE creative working on plans for Charlotte Flair’s return

Plans for Charlotte Flair’s return to WWE television are in the works.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE creative is making plans for Charlotte’s return. Charlotte hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit” match at WrestleMania Backlash this May.

WWE announced a storyline update after WrestleMania Backlash claiming that Charlotte would be out of action “indefinitely” due to suffering a fractured forearm bone in the “I Quit” match.

Following WrestleMania Backlash, Charlotte and AEW’s Andrade El Idolo got married in a ceremony that took place in Mexico on May 27.

Charlotte posted a photo on her Instagram stories last week indicating that she was training for her in-ring return. In the photo, Charlotte was in a ring with NXT’s Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre. Charlotte captioned the picture with, “Thank you ladies.”
