WWE & ESPN partnering for Danhausen SummerSlam ice cream truck

A Danhausen-themed ice cream truck will be present in Minneapolis during SummerSlam week.

It was announced today that WWE and ESPN are partnering together for a “Very Nice, Very Evil SummerSlam Freeze Tour” that will have stops at Downtown East Commons Park, Nicollet Mall, the Minneapolis Convention Center, and US Bank Stadium from Thursday through Sunday. At those stops, there will be a truck with WWE, ESPN & Danhausen branding giving out popsicles.

“The sides of the red-and-black promotional truck prominently display ESPN and WWE branding and SummerSlam promotional messaging. The activation includes a flavor wheel that offers fans a choice between two Danhausen-themed popsicles,” Sports Business Journal wrote. “Other activations at each truck stop will feature giveaways, photo opportunities and other surprise experiences.”

The truck will be at US Bank Stadium from 1:30-4:30 p.m. local time on both Saturday (August 1) and Sunday (August 2) before nights one and two of SummerSlam. Night two’s card includes a match between Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio.

Of the two popsicles, there will be one that is “very nice” (lemonade) and one that is “very evil” (mango with Tajin seasoning).

Danhausen has become one of WWE’s most recognizable faces since arriving in the company, with ESPN helping to raise his profile through all of the cross-promotional appearances he’s made. He’s regularly appeared on ESPN to promote WWE PLEs and became associated with the New York Knicks during their championship run.

For viewers in the United States, SummerSlam will stream live on the ESPN app for Unlimited subscribers. The show will be broadcast on Netflix for international viewers. Each night has a start time of 6 p.m. Eastern. The full lineups can be seen here.
