WWE gives storyline update on Ricochet following hospitalization angle
WWE has provided a storyline update on Ricochet.
Following Monday’s backstage attack, WWE posted on social media that Ricochet would be out of action for an “undisclosed amount of time.”
“After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of @bronbreakkerwwe this past Monday on #WWERaw, @KingRicochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries,” WWE wrote on X.
Ricochet appeared on Raw Monday, making the save for Ilja Dragunov after Bron Breakker attempted to attack him following their match. Later backstage, Breakker speared Dragunov and started brawling with Ricochet. Breakker ended up getting the better of the exchange, lawn darting Ricochet into a production truck then slamming in on a car windshield. The angle ended with Ricochet being loaded into an ambulance with fiance Samantha Irvin joining him.
The angle comes as speculation mounts regarding Ricochet’s future with WWE. Dave Meltzer reported in Monday’s Daily Update that the Raw appearance was expected to be his final night with the company, and may be headed to AEW.
