WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino undergoes back surgery

Bruno Sammartino underwent a back operation this past week in Pittsburgh, PA, after he had been in the hospital for the better part of a month.
The team that operated on the longtime WWWF champion was headed by Dr. Joseph Maroon, who besides being head of WWE medical, has been Sammartino’s personal physician for years and headed his previous back surgery many years ago.
Sammartino is now out of the hospital and in great spirits.
