WWE has discussed bullrope stipulation for Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar 3

The next matchup between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar could have an added stipulation.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there’s been “a lot of talk” about adding a stipulation to Rhodes and Lesnar’s next match. One of the ideas being considered is a bullrope match, but that’s not official and there are multiple other ideas on the table.

A bullrope match is a type of strap match where the competitors are tied to each other by a bullrope.

Rhodes and Lesnar currently have a 1-1 record against each other. Their next meeting is expected to take place at SummerSlam this August.

Rhodes defeated Lesnar when they faced off at Backlash, but Lesnar won their next meeting at Night of Champions. In storyline, Rhodes wrestled the second match with a broken arm after having been attacked by Lesnar. The finish of the bout was Rhodes passing out in a kimura.

SummerSlam is being held at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, August 5.
