WWE to celebrate John Cena’s career on SmackDown

On the eve of his retirement, WWE will celebrate John Cena’s career on SmackDown.

Cena himself is not advertised to appear on tonight’s show from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. But WWE.com’s official SmackDown preview says the show will celebrate Cena by taking a “special look” at his career.

“Take a special look at John Cena’s incredible career just 24 hours before The Greatest of All Time competes in his final match against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event,” WWE.com wrote. “SmackDown spotlights The Never Seen 17, tonight at 8e/7c on USA.”

A retirement tour that began at the start of 2025 now only has one date left, with Cena set to face off against Gunther tomorrow on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show today and confirmed that his retirement match will be the main event of the SNME card.
