WWE planning another Lucha Libre AAA event for United States

On the heels of June’s Worlds Collide event, WWE is planning to bring Lucha Libre AAA back to the United States soon.

Dave Meltzer reported in the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has plans to hold another AAA event in the U.S. before the end of 2025. Further details on when that event would be happening and where it would be taking place have not been disclosed yet.

“There are right now plans for another AAA show in the U.S. before the end of the year,” Meltzer wrote.

The June Worlds Collide event was held in Inglewood, California and featured El Hijo del Vikingo retaining his AAA Mega Championship over WWE star Chad Gable in the main event.

Vikingo has a title defense coming up in Mexico City this Saturday, where he’ll be facing Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano in a four-way bout at Triplemania. The show is airing live on WWE’s YouTube channel in both English and Spanish.

WWE’s acquisition of AAA was first announced this April, with WWE bringing one of the two biggest wrestling promotions in Mexico under its banner.
