WWE purchases rights to Kurt Angle documentary

Angle revealed the news on an episode of The Kurt Angle Show.

A documentary on the life of Kurt Angle is expected to be released next year.

The film was not originally a WWE project but the company has since purchased the rights to it.

Angle is also set to be featured on an episode of A&E Biography scheduled to air on July 31. He noted that the A&E episode will focus more on his WWE career and the documentary next year will cover more of his personal life.

"The WWE bought the show from us, the documentary," Angle said on an episode of The Kurt Angle Show released on Sunday. "They changed it up a little bit and made it a little more pro-wrestling oriented but we made a deal with them that this will air on Peacock next year, my previous documentary before they actually added more WWE stuff to it."

"The one next year on Peacock will be more about my personal life growing up and before the WWE. It's a really well-rounded documentary but the one that WWE is showing will be pro-WWE stuff," he continued.
