WWE Raw sees first King of the Ring finalist named

Dominik Mysterio vs. Oba Femi

With WWE Night of Champions less than two weeks away, we know the first name in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.

Oba Femi defeated Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw to advance to the finals of the tournament. He is now one win away from a championship match at SummerSlam.

Though JD McDonagh tried to interfere, it was to no avail. Femi destroyed McDonagh and Mysterio together and pinned Mysterio with a powerbomb to advance.

Femi then cut a promo noting that the Ruler was one match away from his crown. He vowed to defeat either Jey Uso or Je’Von Evans in the finals. He also called out Brock Lesnar, saying he had expected Lesnar to appear, but Lesnar was apparently ducking him instead.

“When it’s all said and done, I’ll be the king,” Femi said. “You will just be the man who ran from Oba Femi.”

Evans and Uso will meet on SmackDown this Friday to determine Femi’s opponent in the finals.

The finals will then take place at Night of Champions at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, June 27.

The King of the Ring winner will then move on to SummerSlam, to challenge for either the Undisputed WWE Championship (currently held by Cody Rhodes) or the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (currently held by Roman Reigns).

SummerSlam airs Saturday, March 1, and Sunday, March 2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
