WWE Raw video highlights: Three title matches, one title change

WWE Raw closed out its 2023 with three title matches and one title change.

Last night, new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned as Katana Chance & Kayden Carter defeated Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. This is the first main roster title reign for Chance & Carter, who were previously tag champs in NXT.

While the Women’s Tag Team titles changed hands, the men’s belts still belong to The Judgment Day. Damian Priest & Finn Balor defeated The Creed Brothers in last night’s main event to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles.

In a rematch from Survivor Series, The Miz got one more shot at Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Miz put up another good fight but again failed to defeat The Ring General. As a stipulation of his loss, Miz can’t challenge for the Intercontinental title again while Gunther is still champion.

Next week’s Christmas night Raw is expected to be a best-of episode of the show. The following week, WWE will present a special Day 1 edition of Raw on New Year’s Day. Rhea Ripley vs. Ivy Nile for the Women’s World Championship has been added to that episode. A grudge match between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax is also now confirmed for Day 1, along with a tag team bout pitting Natalya & Tegan Nox against Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark.

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship will headline Day 1. The two had a face-to-face confrontation last night. Rollins told McIntyre that he doesn’t hate him — he pities him. That caused a brawl to break out. It ended with McIntyre giving Rollins an Alabama slam onto the ring steps.
