WWE recruiting talent at Hawaii fitness event
While the company has two PLEs (Night of Champions and NXT Great American Bash) coming up this weekend, WWE also has its eyes on a fitness event that’s taking place in Hawaii.
KHON2 News published an article noting that WWE will have a recruitment booth at the 2026 Hawaii Fit Expo, which is touted as the state’s “premier fitness, sport, and healthy lifestyle event.” The seventh annual edition of the event is being held this Saturday (June 27) and Sunday (June 28). WWE’s booth will be open both days and will give attendees the chance to learn more about the career opportunities the promotion offers.
WWE has cast a wide net in its recruitment efforts, focusing on bringing in college athletes, indie wrestlers, and looking into other areas like this fitness event. The company has specific pathways to the Performance Center for those collegiate athletes and indie competitors through its WWE NIL and ID programs.
The Hawaii Fit Expo includes live competitions in areas like strongman, arm wrestling, and powerlifting, along with other activities and fitness showcases. There is also space for vendors from the fitness, wellness, recovery, nutrition, and apparel industries.
WWE tryouts —
In Minneapolis during SummerSlam week, WWE will be holding a tryout for prospective wrestlers who receive invitations. There will also be a tryout in South America this September when WWE holds a house show tour.
