WWE reportedly not ending celebrity involvement ‘anytime soon’

Jelly Roll vs. Pat McAfee | WWE WrestleMania 42

A new report states that WWE won’t be ending its focus on celebrity involvement anytime soon.

On Sunday, Fightful Select reported that WWE sources said the company is “extremely happy” with all the celebrity performances at WrestleMania 42.

The outlet also reported that WWE sources said celebrity involvement won’t be stopping anytime soon. While the amount of celebrity involvement after WrestleMania is expected to decrease, there are plans for additional celebrities to be involved in WWE programming in the future, including this summer.

The report also notes that Tom Brady was contacted regarding possible involvement with the company, but it’s unclear why that didn’t lead to anything.

Celebrities in WWE at WrestleMania 42

Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed, Lil Yachty, and Pat McAfee all had roles at WWE WrestleMania 42. Yachty appeared on the post-WrestleMania SmackDown as well, where he was attacked by Sami Zayn while Zayn was dressed as the Gingerbread Man. Trick Williams said on last Friday’s show that he did not know if Yachty would be okay.
