WWE reportedly planning Asuka's return

Asuka hasn't been on WWE TV since last July.

WWE is reportedly planning Asuka’s return to the company.

Fightful Select reported this afternoon that there have been ‘imminent plans’ for Asuka to return to the company, tentatively as soon as this coming Monday’s Raw. They are also reporting that she may be entering a short-term feud with Becky Lynch, who has been advertised for tomorrow’s show.

Asuka has been off television since last July, last working the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match back at Money in the Bank 2021 that was eventually won by Nikki A.S.H.. In September, she posted a picture of herself after getting new teeth with her arm in a sling. In last year’s WWE Draft, she was not drafted and as a result became a free agent.

In WWE, Asuka is a two-time Raw Women’s Champion and a one-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. She’s also previously won the women’s 2018 Royal Rumble and won the women’s Money in the Bank match in 2020.
