WWE reveals participants for Andre the Giant Battle Royal
WWE has advertised 20 participants for the 2024 Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
The memorial battle royal will be part of the card for SmackDown’s WrestleMania 40 go-home show next Friday (April 5). The episode is taking place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on the eve of WrestleMania 40 night one.
A graphic that was shown on Saturday’s edition of The SmackDown LowDown listed that the following wrestlers will be among those competing in the battle royal:
- Andrade
- Ricochet
- Chad Gable
- Bronson Reed
- Shinsuke Nakamura
- Omos
- Julius Creed
- Brutus Creed
- Ivar
- Akira Tozawa
- Otis
- JD McDonagh
- Apollo Crews
- Cedric Alexander
- Ashante “Thee” Adonis
- Elton Prince
- Kit Wilson
- Cameron Grimes
- Veer
- Sanga
Except for 2020, the Andre the Giant Battle Royal has taken place annually since being introduced in 2014. The battle royal originally was a WrestleMania match but has been held on SmackDown since 2021.
Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Riddick Moss, and Bobby Lashley are the wrestlers who have won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal over the years.
