WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event notes: Jade Cargill, Bron Breakker, champs retain

Jade Cargill arrives for her SNME match

Notes from Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The main event in Fort Wayne, Indiana saw The Vision retain the World Tag Team titles over the Street Profits. Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins nearly had the match won, but Heyman put Austin Theory’s foot on the ropes to break up the pinfall attempt. Ford stalked Heyman outside of the ring but was blindsided by Logan Paul, who struck Ford with the brass knuckles. He threw Ford back in the ring and Theory covered him for the win.

After the match, the champions and Bron Breakker started to leave but right as the credits started to roll, Breakker re-entered the ring and speared both Street Profits, leaving all three Vision members and Heyman standing tall to end the show.

Jade Cargill victorious, other champions retain

Elsewhere on the show, Brie Bella and Paige continued their winning streak, retaining the Women’s Tag Team titles over former champions Lash Legend & Nia Jax. Ethan Page was also unsuccessful, losing to Intercontinental Champion Penta.

Other matches on the show saw Jade Cargill pin Rhea Ripley in a six-woman tag team match, giving herself momentum ahead of their match at Clash in Italy. Becky Lynch attempted to get Sol Ruca DQ’d in her match by pushing the referee in front of Ruca as she went for the Sol snatcher, accidently laying out the referee. The referee instead DQ’d Lynch, giving Ruca her first victory on the main roster.

After Lynch laid out Ruca following her loss, it was later announced that she would defend the Women’s Intercontinental title against Ruca at next weekend’s Clash in Italy event.
