WWE says Dominik Mysterio ‘out indefinitely’ with shoulder injury
Dominik Mysterio is out of action.
During Monday’s Raw, Liv Morgan mentioned in a backstage interview that Mysterio would be taking some time off. Joe Tessitore on commentary went further, saying that he would be out indefinitely due to a shoulder injury.
Mysterio’s injury took place at AAA Guerra de Titanes back on December 20. Bryan Alvarez reported at the time that Mysterio could barely use the arm at all after the match. Dave Meltzer later reported that Mysterio was hurting following the injury and would get examined that week.
“He was hurting today and he’s going to get examined. Normally, you would go to TV and get examined but there’s no TV until a week from Monday. So, I was told he’s getting examined at some point this week, probably by a doctor there, to see what’s wrong with his shoulder,” he said. “So, it’s premature to say anything as far as the severity of it but shoulder injuries are very, very common and it’s probably not a good thing. Hopefully, he doesn’t need surgery right now, that would put him out for months if he did that, but right now we don’t know. But the injury is legit.”
Mysterio currently holds both the WWE Intercontinental title and the AAA Mega Championship. At Guerra de Titantes, he and El Grande Americano lost to Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix.
