Seth Rollins ‘on track’ in WWE injury recovery
Seth Rollins’ injury recovery is going well, with the former World Heavyweight Champion saying the timeline for his WWE return remains on “track.”
A shoulder injury Rollins suffered in October has him sidelined into 2026. He’s targeting WrestleMania season for his return and has mentioned March-April for when he could be back in action. Even if he’s not able to return until April, a WrestleMania 42 return would still be possible for Rollins.
On Tuesday’s edition of The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins made an appearance and gave an update on his recovery.
“We’re on track. Yeah, I got the brace off, like, last week — middle of last week. So, it was nice. It’s nice to walk around like a regular person,” he said. “I’m feeling all right. It’s nice to be able to get around without the brace, I’ll say that. But, yeah, we’re on track. We’re on track.”
Rollins suffered the injury against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11 and had to undergo surgery to repair the issue. To temporarily write him off television, WWE did an angle where Rollins was betrayed by his former Vision faction members Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. Breakker is now in line to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on the first WWE Raw episode of 2026.
At the time of his injury, Rollins was the World Heavyweight Champion. His reign ended with him having to vacate the belt.
Rollins is staying busy despite being sidelined. On Christmas Day, he’ll be part of Netflix’s pre-game coverage for its Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings NFL game. Rollins’ appearance on The Rich Eisen Show was to promote that single-night WrestleMania tickets are now on sale. The two-night event is being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026.
