WWE SmackDown not airing live on Sportsnet in Canada tonight

Thanks to Steve Khan and reader Tim Dudley

Because of Sportsnet’s coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, airing a Washington Capitals vs. Columbus Blue Jackets game, SmackDown will not be airing live on the station tonight.

SmackDown has been moved to 8 p.m. on Wednesday night in Canada.

The show will be streaming live online for Sportsnet subscribers. If you have the station, you can watch SmackDown from Providence live online by signing up for Sportsnet Now using your cable providers login (such as signing into your Rogers Cable account or whatever your provider is).

Tonight’s episode will feature night two of the Superstar Shakeup. While SmackDown lost 18 wrestlers on night one, it was announced that The Miz would be re-joining the brand.

Here are the names who moved from SmackDown to Raw last night (Drew McIntyre was also called up to Raw from NXT):

  • Jinder Mahal
  • The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)
  • Kevin Owens
  • Sami Zayn
  • Zack Ryder
  • Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango)
  • Natalya
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Mojo Rawley
  • Baron Corbin
  • The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)
