WWE SmackDown ratings down slightly for Rumble go-home show

Friday night’s SmackDown on Fox averaged 2.304 million viewers, down 3.3 percent from the previous week. It’s the third-highest viewership for the show since November.

The final viewership number was up from the 2.228 million viewers that the episode averaged in the fast nationals.

SmackDown drew a 0.62 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 1.6 percent from the previous week. It’s the second straight week of declines in the demo, but the show still topped all of television in that category for the day on Friday.

In the 18-34 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.38 rating, up 11.4 percent from last week, so this episode definitely had a younger audience than the previous week. That also topped everything on television for the day.

In terms of total viewers, SmackDown did finish last out of all network TV shows on Friday, with the next lowest being 2.9 million for ABC’s 20/20.

Year-over-year, SmackDown continues to hold up better than other WWE programming. In total viewers, the episode was down 4.9 percent. It was down 11.4 percent in the 18-49 demo and 24 percent in 18-34.
