WWE SmackDown viewers remain steady against World Cup

Last Friday’s Night of Champions go-home edition of WWE SmackDown averaged 1.206 million viewers on USA, up 1.3% from the previous week and their highest marks in five weeks.

The show averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demo which was down 12% from the prior week and ties the second lowest rating it has done in that category since January 23.

It went head-to-head with two different World Cup soccer games on Fox and FS1 that totaled over 7.3 million viewers and a 2.29 rating in the 18-49 demo. SmackDown was second on all television, aside from soccer, in the key demo and finished sixth on cable in terms of total viewers for the night.

As compared to the same week in 2025, overall viewership was down 16.8% while the 18-49 rating was down 48.3%.
