Last night’s SmackDown ended with Roman Reigns raising the stakes for SummerSlam.

A face-to-face segment with Reigns and John Cena closed last night’s show. Reigns said that he’ll either leave SummerSlam with his Universal Championship or will leave WWE.

Reigns offered Cena a handshake at the end of the segment. When Cena accepted, Reigns went to attack him. Cena countered and rolled up Reigns, attempting to get a virtual pinfall over Reigns going into tonight’s pay-per-view.

Edge and Seth Rollins both also appeared ahead of their match at SummerSlam. Edge gave Rollins a Brood-style blood bath with black liquid. Plus, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was in action in back-to-back matches in advance of her SummerSlam title defense against Sasha Banks. Belair defeated Zelina Vega and Carmella.
