WWE SmackDown viewership down, demo rating up

Friday night’s SmackDown averaged 2.114 million viewers on Fox, down 2.7 percent from the previous week. It’s the lowest viewership for the show since December 3 of last year.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown led all of television with a 0.57 rating. That number was up 5.6 percent from the February 18 edition of the show.

SmackDown also led the networks with a 0.35 rating in the 18-34 age group. On all of TV, it only trailed an NBA game on ESPN that drew a 0.38 rating in that category.

SmackDown finished eighth of nine programs on the networks in terms of total viewers, beating a repeat of NBC’s “Endgame.”

As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was down 1.5 percent in overall viewership but up 5.6 percent in the key demo. So, at least for this week, the show is skewing younger.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for Fox airings of SmackDown. This week’s episode was down 3.4 percent in overall viewership but up 5.6 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
