WWE star Sheamus dealing with shoulder injury

WWE star Sheamus is currently dealing with an injury.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why Sheamus hasn’t been in action of late. Meltzer said Sheamus has a “really bad” shoulder injury.

“By the way, Sheamus — really bad shoulder injury,” Meltzer said. “That’s why he hasn’t been on TV or at the house shows.”

Sheamus hasn’t wrestled since facing Edge on the August 18 episode of SmackDown. That bout, which was in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Edge’s WWE debut,  was the last match on Edge’s WWE contract. It was the first time Sheamus and Edge had ever faced each other one-on-one.

Last Friday’s SmackDown episode saw Ridge Holland & Butch lose a tag team match to Austin Theory & Grayson Waller. Sheamus didn’t appear on the show with his Brawling Brutes stablemates.

Sheamus was one of the entrants in WWE’s SummerSlam battle royal this August. The match was won by LA Knight.

Last week, Fightful reported that Sheamus’ current contract with WWE is scheduled to expire in 2024.
