WWE issues storyline medical update on Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns will be out “indefinitely.”
Michael Cole issued a storyline medical update on Reigns during Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, stating that Reigns suffered “multiple fractured ribs at the hands of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed” at WWE Clash in Paris.
“The OTC Roman Reigns is out indefinitely,” Cole added.
Cole also provided an update on Paul Heyman, who was choked out by Reigns following Reigns’ win over Reed at Clash in Paris. Heyman is said to have suffered a “larynx contusion.”
The injury angle was to write Reigns off television so he can film the Street Fighter movie, which began filming in Australia earlier this month. Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez addressed how long Reigns is expected to miss on Monday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.
“It was a way to write him out for the next, roughly, month, four weeks,” Meltzer said on the show.
Reigns is playing the role of Akuma in the film. Cody Rhodes is believed to be playing Guile and has already started filming.
