WWE title number one contender's match announced for Raw

WWE has revealed how the first challenger for Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship will be determined.

Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley will face off in a fatal four-way number one contender's match on Raw tonight. The winner will challenge for Lesnar's WWE title at the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 29.

Big E vs. Rollins vs. Owens vs. Lashley was originally supposed to be the WWE Championship match at Day 1 this past Saturday, but the card for the show underwent a major shakeup after Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19. Instead of challenging for Reigns' Universal Championship, Lesnar was added to the WWE title match. Lesnar pinned Big E to win the WWE Championship.

Big E was WWE Champion heading into Day 1.

Dave Meltzer reported that, as of Saturday night, Lesnar vs. Lashley was planned to be the next direction for the WWE title.

Tonight's Raw is taking place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. An appearance by Lesnar will kick off the show. WWE has also announced that Damian Priest will defend his United States title against Dolph Ziggler tonight. Plus, AJ Styles will face his former tag team partner Omos.
