WWE title rematch and commentary team set for SmackDown Live debut

After Monday night’s WWE title match between champion Dean Ambrose and challenger Seth Rollins ended in controversy, the two will again face off for the championship on tonight’s debut edition of SmackDown Live.

The rematch was announced on Tuesday morning to further hype the much-anticipated WWE Draft edition of SmackDown.

It appeared that Rollins had won the championship as Raw went off the air last night but, to the surprise of many, the show continued on the WWE Network with the match being officially ruled a draw by the referee.

With both brands needing a major championship it would seem that the current controversy surrounding the title could lead to the inevitable destination of two world champions.

The commentary team for the Draft is also set as Mauro Ranallo tweeted that Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and Byron Saxton will join him to call the show. Cole will remain exclusive to the Raw team going forward.

Draft selections will also continue on WWE Draft Center Live on WWE Network after SmackDown ends.

Our coverage of tonight’s sure to be noteworthy show kicks off at 8 PM EST.
