Updates on Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair after missing WWE TV

Rey Mysterio and Charlotte Flair both missed episodes of WWE programming over the past week but are expected to be back on TV soon.

In the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that a minor injury kept Mysterio off the most recent episode of Raw, while Flair missed SmackDown due to an illness. Neither is expected to be a long-term issue, with Charlotte having already returned at a house show.

“Rey Mysterio missed Raw this week due to a minor injury but he’ll be back quickly,” Meltzer wrote.

“Flair missed Smackdown this week and was said on television to be sick. That was legit. It was described to us as she was very ill this past week which led to a change in television. She did return to the tour on January 15.”

Meltzer also added that Chad Gable (shoulder) and Tiffany Stratton (undisclosed injury) should be returning soon.

WWE is in London for SmackDown today and will continue with the European tour through January 20. After that, the company heads to Canada for SmackDown, Raw, and Saturday Night’s Main Event before its trip to Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble on January 31.
