WWE’s Damian Priest, Lola Vice appear at Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC

Lola Vice and Damian Priest

Damian Priest was born in New York City, but raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. This weekend, he got to celebrate both of his home towns.

Priest took his WWE World Tag Team Championship belt with him to the Big Apple, where he was part of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade.

You can find a photo gallery of Priest posing with parade-goers at WWE.com.

Priest was not the only talent on hand to represent TKO. NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice was also on hand. Vice was born in Miami and has Cuban ancestry, but then this is a sport where Mexico’s greatest hero is a German pretending to be an American. Last month, WWE released Zelina Vega, who was born in Queens and has Puerto Rican heritage.

Boxer Edgar Berlanga, who was born in Brooklyn to Puerto Rican parents, was there as well. Berlanga has a 25-2 record. He signed with Zuffa boxing in April and is scheduled to face Steven Butler in the main event at Zuffa Boxing 09 at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden on July 26.
