WWE’s Liv Morgan appears in ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’ trailer
What’s do you do after you have won championships and made music videos? If you’re WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, apparently, you start making movies.
Morgan can be seen in the trailer for Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo that was released today. The trailer shows Morgan licking the frosting off a cupcake. Later, a woman who appears to be Morgan is shown strangling someone.
According to Wikipedia, the film is about “a Tokyo police officer, and compulsive gambler” who “becomes involved in a complex investigation when a mysterious FBI agent arrives in Japan following the disappearance of a politician’s daughter.”
The film is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Morgan is listed as one of the stars of the movie along with Shun Ogori and Lily James. Ogori, who has made dozens of movies in Japan, made his Hollywood debut as Ren Serizawa in Godzilla vs. Kong. James is best known for playing Pamela Anderson in Pam & Tommy; wrestling fans may also recognize her from playing Pam Adkisson (Kevin Von Erich’s wife) in The Iron Claw.
This is not Morgan’s acting debut. She has appeared in the television series Chucky and in the 2023 movie The Kill Room.
This is the third film in the Bad Lieutenant series. The original Bad Lieutenant, starring Harvery Keitel, was released in 1992. It was followed by Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, starring Nicolas Cage, in 2009.
Morgan spent time in Japan filming her parts of the movie in May of 2025. She defeated Iyo Sky to retain her WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam this past weekend.
