December 19, 2022 Observer Newsletter: Vince McMahon wants back in WWE, Mandy Rose released

Vince McMahon is looking to get back into power in WWE according to a story in the Wall Street Journal that was confirmed by several sources within WWE.

It has also become a major subject among WWE talent and employees.

The story also noted that on 11/3, a lawyer for former 80s referee Rita Chatterton had sent a demand for $11.75 million to McMahon’s attorney, Jerry McDevitt, stemming from her claim of a raping incident in the back of McMahon’s limo. The Wall Street Journal was given a copy of the letter.

They also reported a lawyer representing a former spa manager sent a legal letter to McDevitt, which claimed McMahon assaulted her client in 2011 at a California resort. This story had never gotten out previously.

McDevitt did not talk to the Journal nor did McDevitt nor WWE spokespeople return inquiries from us on the subject.

The story noted that previous misconduct stories they had written about McMahon led to federal investigations.
