January 29, 2018 Wrestling Observer Newsletter: Enzo Amore rape allegations, WWE Raw 25, plus tons of news

Eric Arndt, 31, better known as Enzo Amore, was fired by WWE on 1/23, the day after a woman on Twitter accused people Arndt was hanging out with of drugging her, and him of raping her.

In what came across as a very terse statement, WWE wrote one sentence in a release, “WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore).”

They didn’t even do the traditional line of wishing him well in his future endeavors.

This came one day after he was suspended with the statement, “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”

One person close to the situation said that when WWE announced the suspension, they had already decided to let him go.
