Observer Preview: Dave Meltzer breaks down WWE Raw to Netflix deal

TKO made two of its biggest moves since the inception of the company with the announcement early today of Raw being a key part of a $5 billion-plus ten-year broadcast deal with Netflix, and with Dwayne Johnson being named to the Board of Directors of TKO and in exchange, be given the full rights to use the name The Rock independent of WWE.

The Netflix deal looks to be the beginning of a worldwide all-encompassing deal for the company. Starting in January 2025, Raw in the U.S. would move to Netflix and air live in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Latin America, and other international markets. The actual deal as reported by CNBC is that the first five years are guaranteed as Netflix has an opt-out at that point, but would also have the option at that point to extend the deal another ten years.
