Dominik Dijakovic vs. Cameron Grimes announced for NXT
Dominik Dijakovic will be in action on tonight’s episode of NXT.
During this morning’s edition of WWE’s The Bump, it was announced that Dijakovic vs. Cameron Grimes will take place on NXT tonight. This is the third match announced for the show, joining Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Austin Theory.
Dijakovic vs. Grimes was set up by Grimes going after Dijakovic on Twitter, along with an angle where they got into a confrontation backstage at an NXT house show. Grimes complained about not getting opportunities and said he’s sick and tired of watching Dijakovic drop the ball every week.
Dijakovic unsuccessfully challenged Keith Lee for the NXT North American Championship at TakeOver: Portland. Last week, Dijakovic came to the ring after Lee squashed Kona Reeves. Dijakovic cut a promo saying he isn’t ready to move on yet — and he told Lee they both know Dijakovic had him beat at TakeOver.
Lee said Dijakovic was making excuses, but Lee agreed to face him again if Dijakovic can talk NXT general manager William Regal into it.
An appearance by Finn Balor is also being advertised for tonight’s NXT.
