NXT UK notes: Title shot gauntlet, next week’s card

– A gauntlet match will decide the next challenger for Kay Lee Ray’s NXT UK Women’s Championship.
On this week’s NXT UK episode, it was announced that there will be a five-woman gauntlet match to determine KLR’s next challenger. When the gauntlet match will be taking place wasn’t announced.
Jinny, Isla Dawn, Xia Brookside, Dani Luna, and Emilia McKenzie will be the participants in the gauntlet match. It will be the first gauntlet match in NXT UK history.
KLR, who calls herself the “Forever Champion,” has held the NXT UK Women’s Championship since defeating Toni Storm for the title at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff in August 2019. KLR most recently retained the title by defeating Meiko Satomura this March.
– For next Thursday’s NXT UK, WWE has announced two matches that will be taking place on the show. Former tag team partners Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams will face off in a no disqualification, Loser Leaves NXT UK match. Ilja Dragunov vs. Dave Mastiff is also set for the episode.
Also on next week’s NXT UK, Nathan Frazer will be the guest on Noam Dar’s Supernova Sessions talk show. Nathan Frazer is Ben Carter’s WWE in-ring name.
