Roderick Strong to face Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott on NXT

A non-title match with North American Champion Roderick Strong is set for tonight’s NXT.

During this week’s episode of WWE’s The Bump, it was announced that Strong will face Isaiah “Swerve” Scott on NXT tonight.

Strong became the North American Champion by defeating Velveteen Dream in the main event of NXT’s USA Network premiere on September 18. On last week’s episode, Strong helped Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish retain their NXT Tag Team titles against The Street Profits. Tommaso Ciampa returned after that match and confronted NXT Champion Adam Cole.

Scott (Shane Strickland) made his televised NXT debut as part of the Breakout Tournament, losing to Cameron Grimes in the first round. Scott has also appeared on two episodes of 205 Live.

Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak will defend his title against Lio Rush on tonight’s NXT. Rush was set up as Gulak’s next challenger by defeating Oney Lorcan in a number one contender’s match three weeks ago.

WALTER vs. Kushida will also take place on tonight’s NXT.
