WWE announces Thatcher vs. Reed for Tuesday’s NXT

WWE has announced a new addition to the lineup for Tuesday’s episode of NXT.

Timothy Thatcher vs. Bronson Reed is now set for NXT this Tuesday. It will be the first time either has wrestled since their respective matches at TakeOver XXX.

Thatcher lost to Finn Balor at TakeOver. Reed was part of the ladder match for the vacant NXT North American Championship that was won by Damian Priest.

On last week’s post-TakeOver episode of NXT, Thatcher confronted Priest during a backstage interview. Thatcher called the way Priest acts embarrassing and said he should get the first shot at Priest’s North American title.

Reed did an interview last week and was asked about Thatcher wanting the first shot at the North American title. Reed pointed out that he’s actually beaten Priest before. The returning Austin Theory then interrupted Reed and insulted him. Reed responded by slapping Theory.

This Tuesday’s NXT will be headlined by Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole in a four-way 60-minute Iron Man match for the vacant NXT Championship. The episode will also feature Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde) vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Breezango in a six-man street fight.

NXT is airing on Tuesday the next two weeks due to the NHL playoffs.
