Austin Aries vs. Adam Brooks set for MLW Fury Road
After hyping that he would be coming to the promotion soon, MLW has confirmed Austin Aries for their June television tapings.
Aries will be facing Adam Brooks at MLW Fury Road in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 1. Brooks, who is from Australia and has wrestled all over the world, will be making his MLW debut in the match.
Aries has wrestled for MLW once before. He defeated ACH in February 2018.
MLW hyped that Aries and Brooks are both “jockeying for a Middleweight title shot.”
Fury Road will include both a live special and TV tapings. Teddy Hart’s Middleweight title defense against Jimmy Havoc will be airing on the live special, along with the finals of MLW’s National Openweight Championship tournament.
In the National title tournament finals, Alexander Hammerstone will face the winner of the Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Rich Swann match that’s airing on this week’s episode of MLW Fusion.
Tom Lawlor, Ross Von Erich & Marshall Von Erich vs. Contra Unit (Jacob Fatu, Josef Samael & Simon Gotch), Sami Callihan vs. Mance Warner in a falls count anywhere match, and Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. MJF are also set for June 1.
