Marti Belle no longer under contract with NWA

Marti Belle is no longer under contract with the NWA and is now a free agent.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Belle (real name Martibel Payano) announced that she’s no longer under contract with the NWA. Belle wrote that she doesn’t know what’s next for her, but she’s excited to find out.

“Thank you @nwa for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the talented locker room & create some amazing moments,” Belle wrote. “I met incredible people that I’m sure I’ll see again. I am no longer signed to a contract with NWA. I am not sure what’s next for me, but I am excited to find out.”

Belle had been with the NWA since the launch of NWA Power last year. She formerly wrestled for TNA/Impact Wrestling and was also a participant in WWE’s inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, losing to Rachael Ellering in the first round.

Former NWA Women’s Champion Allysin Kay also announced earlier this month that she’s now a free agent. After becoming a free agent, Kay unsuccessfully challenged Serena Deeb for the NWA Women’s Championship on the pre-show for AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view.
