VIDEO: Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega appear at indie show

With AEW Double or Nothing now three weeks away, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega furthered the build to their match by appearing at an indie show for Southern Honor Wrestling on Friday night.

Jericho and Omega took part in an angle at the show in Canton, Georgia. Jericho appeared first, with him using a steel chair to attack two wrestlers. Jericho continued the attack until the lights went out, Omega’s music hit, and Omega made the save.

The angle led to a brawl where Jericho and Omega were joined by wrestlers from Southern Honor Wrestling. Omega then cut a promo saying that AEW wouldn’t exist without promotions like Southern Honor Wrestling and fans like those who were in attendance. Omega said he won’t forget his roots, and they will continue to support independent wrestling.

In another surprise, a video of Jericho aired at the end of this morning’s NJPW Wrestling Dontaku show. Jericho said he’ll be challenging for Kazuchika Okada’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Dominion on June 9.
