Deonna Purrazzo signs long-term contract with Impact Wrestling

Ahead of her title defense at this Saturday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, Impact Wrestling has revealed that Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo has signed a contract with them.

It was announced on today’s pre-Bound for Glory edition of Press Pass that Purrazzo has signed a long-term deal with Impact Wrestling. Josh Mathews said that Purrazzo will be with Impact for the long haul.

Purrazzo tweeted about signing with Impact: “I’ve been waiting to be able to talk about this publicly!!! I’m happy to confirm and so excited about what the future holds @IMPACTWRESTLING”

Purrazzo was released by WWE during their roster cuts this April.  Purrazzo wrote at the time that she had been struggling with wanting to be released by WWE for the better part of the last year.

Impact Wrestling started hyping Purrazzo’s arrival in May. She debuted by confronting Jordynne Grace and putting her in a Fujiwara armbar. Purrazzo then defeated Grace at July’s Slammiversary PPV to win the Knockouts Championship.

Purrazzo is defending the Knockouts Championship against Kylie Rae at Bound for Glory this Saturday.
