Bobby Lashley vs. Xavier Woods set for next week’s WWE Raw

Xavier Woods is set for another match against Bobby Lashley.

WWE has announced that WWE Champion Lashley will face Woods in a non-title match on next Monday’s episode of Raw. In the main event of last week’s show, Lashley defeated Woods in a Hell in a Cell match.

Lashley submitted Woods with the Hurt Lock to win their Hell in a Cell match. After the match, Lashley attacked Woods and put him in the Hurt Lock again. MVP locked the door to the cell so that Kingston couldn’t get in and save his partner. The show ended with Lashley having Woods in the Hurt Lock against the cage as Kingston yelled for Lashley to let Woods go.

There was a face-to-face confrontation between Kingston and MVP on tonight’s Raw. MVP claimed that, after facing Lashley in the Hell in a Cell match, Woods couldn’t make it to work tonight and was unlikely to make it next week. Kingston said Woods will be back next week because — unlike MVP — Woods has heart, is a fighter, and has resiliency.

Lashley defending his WWE Championship against Kingston has been announced for Money in the Bank. The pay-per-view is taking place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, July 18.
