Brock Lesnar appearance confirmed for WWE Raw

After winning the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules, Brock Lesnar is officially set to appear on tonight’s Raw.

WWE sent out an email this afternoon confirming that Lesnar will be appearing on tonight’s show. Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at the end of Extreme Rules to win the Universal title.

Lesnar cashed in after Rollins & Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeated Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans in the main event of Extreme Rules. Lesnar gave Rollins two German suplexes, then hit an F5 to win the title after the match was started.

WWE.com’s preview for tonight’s Raw hyped that Rollins will be looking to work his way back up to a title shot: “Now, Rollins, who fought his way to Brock for the better part of a year, is facing the Sisyphean task of once again working his way back up to The Beast. There’s little doubt he’ll be game for the attempt, but after weeks of in-ring competition and mental stress brought on by Paul Heyman’s mind games, the question is whether his heart, his mind and his body are all up to the task.”

The Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York is hosting tonight’s Raw. The episode will feature the fallout from Extreme Rules and the start of the build to SummerSlam, which takes place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 11.
