Brock Lesnar appearance to kick off WWE Raw

An appearance by the new WWE Champion will kick off tonight’s Day 1 fallout edition of Raw.

WWE has announced that Brock Lesnar will appear at the start of Raw tonight. At Day 1 this past Saturday, Lesnar defeated Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley in a fatal five-way match to win the WWE Championship.

Lesnar was a last-minute addition to the WWE title match. He was originally scheduled to challenge for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship at Day 1, but Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be pulled from the show.

Lesnar pinned Big E to win the fatal five-way match. After the match, Lashley stared down Lesnar from outside the ring. Dave Meltzer reported that, as of Saturday night, the plan was for Lesnar vs. Lashley to be the next direction for the WWE title.

Lashley, Rollins, Big E, and Owens will face off in a fatal four-way number one contender’s match tonight, with the winner challenging Lesnar for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.

In storyline, Lesnar is a free agent and can appear on both Raw and SmackDown.

Tonight’s Raw is taking place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
