Chad Gable makes WWE 205 Live debut

Chad Gable appears to be the newest member of the cruiserweight division.

Gable made his 205 Live debut on this week’s episode, facing Jack Gallagher in the opening match. Gable ended up winning by countout. He hit a release German suplex on the floor, and Gallagher tried to get back into the ring near the end of the count but wasn’t able to make it in time.

Ahead of tonight, WWE hyped that Drake Maverick would be bringing a “special surprise” to 205 Live on this week’s episode.

Gable, who has a bit of a different look with a new haircut, moved from Raw to SmackDown in April’s Superstar Shake-up. He’s made limited appearances on television since then, though he was on tonight’s SmackDown. After Apollo Crews and Zelina Vega went back and forth verbally in a backstage segment, it was shown that Gable was there and writing on a notebook.

While Gable was on Raw, he held the Raw Tag Team titles with Bobby Roode from December to February.
